Irving Bernard (Buddy) Gosnell was born (Shane’s cousin)
Buddy was first to introduce and raise Simmental Cattle in the State of Maryland. Shane, the farm’s current owner, was born April 1968 and grew up working on the farm)
Shane started as Global Asset Mutual Funds Manager at Legg Mason Baltimore MD
Shane left Legg Mason as VP and Treasure of Global Fund Administration after a corporate restructuring due to 2008 Global Financial Crisis
Shane purchased the farm returning to his childhood roots of raising cattle, and incorporated Liberty Delight Farms. Started with 10 head of Simmental Brood Cows, 24 laying hens
Mission of Liberty Delight Farms is to raise All-Natural Beef, selling to local restaurants and the community.

Twelve barns constructed for animals. Streams fenced off, 2 Gravity flow natural watering stations added, 2 stream crossings built for stream protection but allowing cattle access to natural stream water. Cattle herd grew to 120 head of Simmental / Angus Cows, 4 Bulls
