March 2017

Hello Liberty Delight Farm Fans!  We hope this newsletter finds you well and ready for spring!  There has been a lot happening at the farm in the last few months and we would like to use this newsletter as a platform to keep you informed as to our latest endeavors!  We will send you an email monthly in hopes that it will engage and inspire you!  We also hope to educate you specifically on our practices of sustainable agriculture.  We welcome you into our community!

Our Farm

Liberty Delight Farms sits on 100 acres adjacent to both Liberty Reservoir and Soldiers Delight Environmental Park in Reisterstown, MD. We are an all natural meat producer raising beef, pork, chicken, rabbits, turkey and lamb. With the keen vision of “Fresh Meat, Raised Right” , all of our animals thrive in a free range, open air environment and eat an all natural diet. We specifically do not use growth hormones, stimulants or antibiotics. On any given day, you may find a group of students from a local university learning about sustainability, or a farm to table chef and staff immersing themselves in the animals and their happy environment.

Meet Your Farmer

Shane Hughes, farmer and owner of Liberty Delight Farms, began his lifelong passion for farming on his family’s historic property in Reisterstown, MD. After years of working in corporate finance, he returned to his roots of farming. Within eight years, he has grown the farm from 10 head of cattle to a thriving agriculture business built on the three cornerstones that are the foundation of Liberty Delight Farms: health, happiness and sustainability.
