June 2017 Newsletter

With a rainy spring behind us, we have had lots of catching up to do at the farm! On the sustainability front, we have completed the work on our hayledge trenches. Our animals are going to be well stocked over the winter months with this moist, nutritious mixture of hay and grasses! We have had recent visitors to the farm from The International Trade Center Institute in New Dehli, India. They learned about how sustainable farming and animal husbandry contribute to food safety from farm to table. Stay tuned for upcoming July happenings which include a visit from Councilwoman Vicki Almond to discuss sustainable efforts specifically with solar energy. In the meantime, take a look below to see what is new for June!
